Welcome to Gurkhas Dumplings and Curry House! We’re located on the corner of Arapahoe Ave and Route 36, and a short five-minute walk to Scott Carpenter Park. We offer a variety of authentic Nepalese and Indian food to the community of Boulder, Colorado. Meet Kalpana
Kalpana Gurung, the founder of Gurkhas Indian restaurant in Boulder, CO, was born and raised in Nepal before moving to the United States to pursue her education. She grew up with experience in managing her family's restaurant in Nepal. When her father passed away, Kalpana decided to open Gurkhas Indian restaurant in Boulder, CO to honor his memory. Her father had served in the Gurkhas, a British military force, for over 15 years. The name 'Gurkhas' symbolizes the brave warriors who fought fearlessly for the British army, which includes seven generations of Kalpana's family. Gurkhas Indian restaurant in Boulder, CO specializes in Nepali/Indian cuisine, with a focus on curries and momo (Nepali dumplings), and Kalpana hopes that through the food, she can keep the memory of her father and family members alive.
